Isn't that photo of the hummingbird great? Our daughter's mother-in-law took that picture from her kitchen window, which I think is amazing. She took the one below too:
We had such a good Sunday. Our son-in-law's mom, Bev (the family photographer) invited both her sons and families to their house yesterday for lunch. Bev and Steve have two sons - both married (one to our daughter). Both sets of in-laws were invited yesterday (we're one of the fortunate in-laws). We had food in abundance and it was such a good time. We are so fortunate to be considered part of their family.
After two weeks of perfect weather (lots of sunshine, temps between 72 and 78 daytime and no humidity) things changed today. Fall is here. We had rain today and only a high of 55. This entire week will be below normal fall temperatures. I'm not complaining because I'll take this any day over 90's and humidity. I'm just hoping it doesn't mean an early winter.
Sorry I've been missing for so long again. I'm trying to rectify that. Now to go around and visit - my favorite part.
Until next time,
Mary
Hi mary, the hummingbird photos are breathtakingly beautiful. I agree that the weather has changed rather quickly to cold and damp and my old bones are complaining.
ReplyDeleteThere will still be some nice days ahead I'm sure.
Sharing meals with family is so wonderful. Enjoy the rest of the week.
Hugs,
JB
To get one picture of a humming bird is amazing; to get two is nothing short of a miracle. Those little birds move around so quickly and even having a camera in my hands, the chances are slim to none that I would react quick enough to focus and click. Kudos to Bev!
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been wonderful here but fall is definitely here. with the cooler nights and shorter days, the trees are beginning to change.
"Shuffling Along With Parkinson's Disease" has been included in our A Sunday Drive for this week. Be assured that we hope this helps to point even more new visitors in your direction.

What wonderful hummingbird photos! usually they move so fast you just can't see a thing. I am glad you had such a lovely Sunday.
