Deep Freeze

Hi Friends,

Remember me?   It's been so long that I would not blame you if you didn't remember.    A very dear friend has told me I need to post over here more frequently......last post was at least 6 months ago.  I guess that isn't very "frequent" is it?   I wish I could say with confidence that I will be more faithful this time around, but my back isn't any better, so that means I can't sit very long at a time.   But I'll do what I can.   Mario is already mad at me because I have neglected his blog too.

We're headed into the deep freeze.  Temp will only be a high of 3 above tomorrow.   Tonight we'll be -15 with a wind chill of -30 below.   Brrrrrr!    I'm not really complaining (yes I am) as out East they are getting a Noreaster and that certainly doesn't sound like fun either.  We're being paid back for the super good days in November and December where the temperature was more fall like than winter.   We have had 12 inches of snow so far this winter.  It all fell during our first snowstorm of the season.   I'm not complaining because the southern states really got hit hard during that same storm.   This sure has been a strange winter.

How are things at your house.  I plan on getting around tonight and tomorrow to visit a few blogs and catch up on your news.   I have missed you all.
There is something about bloggers - they are all so friendly.

I'm signing off for tonight, with the hopes of seeing you again soon.

Until next time,

Mary

  1. I do remember you, and I am so happy to see your post! :) I would love you to post more often, but don't feel too badly if you don't. It is pretty cold here in Montreal, Canada, and we are going to be getting some snow so it will warm up a little. :)

  3. It is good to read something from you, Mary! Thank you for your visit to my blog. I'm sorry you are having such problems with your back. We've not really had a winter storm this season. One may be "in the wings," though.:-) xo Nellie

  4. It may have been 6 months since your last post but it's always a pleasure to see a new one from you. Understandable though that it's tough to sit for too long in front of a computer.
As for snow, I complain about it all the time because I hate it. We have been lucky so far this year though that we haven't had more than what we've got. You are so right, it is a strange winter

  6. The Nor'easter is coming here today, but it is only supposed to be rain. I can handle that. So far we have only had 1/2 inch of snow and I am hoping that the predictors will be right about El Niño and winter will be kind to us this year. After two snow filled and freezing years, I would be very grateful for that. even though you have gotten 12 inches already, I do hope the coming months will bring you some sunshine also.

  7. Hi Mariodacatmom, I'm so glad for your visit to my blog and for your comment. It's always so nice reading a post from you. Having back pain can be a deterrent to sit for long hours at the computer. Just make very short posts to let us know how you are.
Mario is a beautiful cat and doesn't seem to mind posing for the camera.

We have plenty of snow here but I'm not much a snow lover anymore. I used to walk to work at the farm, now I drive.

    Stay safe and warm.
    Hugs,
    JB

  8. I am sure Mario doesn't mind if he can't visit blogs as long as he has you to cuddle with him. Try to keep warm.
